DAY 1 - 13/9
Early in the morning, our flight from Skellefteå* to Brussels leaves via Arlanda. We land before 14:00 and are picked up by our bus which takes us to our centrally located hotel in Bruges. . DAY 2 - 14/9
Today we step back in time and discover the medieval city of Bruges that seems to come straight out of a fairy tale. The UNESCO World Heritage city benefits from its rich past and offers countless romantic sites and wonders. You'll fall in love with its picturesque canals, gothic constructions, and the cultural life that makes Bruges the perfect destination! Today, our English-speaking guide will take us on a tour to get to know the city more closely and we'll also stop at some surprising hidden spots with good taste! The tour ends with a boat ride on the picturesque canals so we can discover "Little Venice" from a completely different and surprising angle. Evening free for own activities [ F ].
DAY 3 - 15/9
Today we meet just before 13.00 to walk to the brewery 'De Halve Maan'. This authentic brewery in the city center of Bruges is a family business that stretches back through six generations to 1856.Here they brew the local beer 'De Brugse Zot': a tasty high fermentation beer based on malt, hops and special yeast. But also with their beer 'De Straffe Hendrik' they have already won several awards. In 2016, a unique underground pipeline (3 km) was laid from the brewery to the bottling plant in the suburb.
The brewers' halls have been recently renovated with a trendy touch. The old tradition of this brewery has been preserved in an authentic museum. We will have a guided tour, both in the modern brewery and in the museum. We will discover the unique world of malt and hops. During the visit we can also enjoy a panoramic view of Bruges. At the end of the tour we will of course taste the delicious beer. Evening on your own. [ F ]
DAY 4 - 16/9
We visit one of the six real chocolate makers from Bruges, the Pralinette, where
passion and tradition are of great importance. All chocolate creations are made by hand using traditional methods. This artisan has recently been awarded the label 'Handmade in Bruges'.
In the demonstration studio, they will explain everything from bean to chocolate cake. We will see how quality chocolate is tempered until it is
shrinking, shining and snapping just right. You will learn how pralines are
shaped, filled, sealed and removed from the mold. They will answer all our questions
with love! And because our taste buds judge inexorably, we can of course
taste a few pieces of chocolate. Afternoon and evening free for your own antics. [ F ]
DAY 5 - 17/9
Today we get one last chance to soak up Bruges and Belgian goodies. Maybe eat
mussels or Belgian waffles for lunch or buy some chocolate to take home. Take the opportunity
get lost in this magical city!
The bus that will take us back to Brussels airport will pick us up at about 14.30 at the hotel.
