MAGICAL ANDORRA & THE MEDITERRANEAN

September 8–17

Join us on a unique 10-day tour that combines the magnificent mountains of Andorra with the golden beaches of the Costa Brava. The tour combines wine tasting, high alpine views, cultural experiences, charming coastal towns, and relaxation by the sea—all at a comfortable pace, carefully tailored for a comfortable and enjoyable trip.

DAY 1, 8/9 – To the sun and the Mediterranean!

We take off from Arlanda in the afternoon and arrive in Barcelona in the beautiful early evening sun. Already on the way to Castelldefels, we are greeted by palm trees, sea breezes, and that long-awaited southern European atmosphere.

Upon check-in, we will have time to settle in before gathering for dinner together – a perfect start where we will have the chance to get to know each other and ease into the relaxed holiday pace. [ M ]

DAY 2 – 9/9, Beach life or Barcelona vibe

Day 2
After a long and generous breakfast, you can choose between two wonderful ways to start your trip: Relaxation by the sea – Enjoy the soft sand, calm waves, and beach promenade in Castelldefels. Perfect for those who want to start off gently, sunbathe, read, or just gaze out over the sea. Alternatively, discover Barcelona – hop on the local bus into the city where you can stroll along La Rambla, visit markets, shop, or eat tapas at small neighborhood restaurants. Guided tours can be booked as an option for those who want to get even more out of their visit. The evening is free – why not take a walk along the beach and watch the sunset? [ F ]

Andorra’s mountainous landscape with green valleys – group tours from Skellefteå to Andorra and the Mediterranean

DAY 3 – 10/10, Winery in Penedès & journey into the Pyrenees

We leave the coast and head for the wine region of Penedès, an area known for cava and traditional winemaking. At a local winery, a welcoming tasting awaits us, where we get to taste some of the region's best wines and hear about the family's craftsmanship through generations. We then continue up winding roads and increasingly majestic mountains. As Andorra spreads out before us, you really feel that we are entering a completely different world. Check-in at Hotel Nordic 4* – comfortable, airy, and surrounded by mountains. In the evening, we enjoy a delicious dinner at the hotel. [ B, L ]

DAY 4 – September 11, Andorra – a small country full of possibilities

This day is yours to tailor to your liking. With the local bus stopping right outside the hotel, it's easy to get to Andorra La Vella – a city full of shops, cafés, churches, and beautiful walking paths along the river. Perhaps a visit to the spa appeals to you? Or maybe it's just the magnificent view from almost every corner? [ F, M ]

DAY 5 – September 12, To an altitude of 2,700 meters – Arcalis & the sundial

Today, one of the most spectacular nature experiences of the trip awaits us. We take the bus up into the valleys and then change to a cable car and chairlift that slowly lifts us up to an altitude of 2,700 meters. Here, at the sundial on the border between Andorra and France, a panorama of snow-covered mountain peaks, clear air, and a silence that only exists at really high altitudes opens up. We enjoy a picnic from the hotel and have plenty of time to take photos, breathe out, and just take in the magnificent nature. [ B, L, D ]

DAY 6 – 13/9, Tibetan suspension bridge & Roc del Quer

After breakfast, another iconic spot awaits: the Tibetan suspension bridge in Canillo. The bridge is both stable and easy to walk on—and the view is fantastic! From here, you can see valleys, villages, and unforgettable contrasts between mountains and sky. We then continue to Roc del Quer, a viewpoint where you stand on a glass platform that hovers over the landscape. An experience that never fails to impress! Afterwards, a cozy lunch awaits at the traditional restaurant Borda del Rector, known for its delicious, rustic Andorran cuisine. A walk (or local bus) takes us back to the hotel. [ B, L, D ]

DAY 7 – September 14, Dalí's world & the tranquility of the coast in Platja d'Aro

We bid farewell to the mountains and travel down towards Spain again. In Figueres, we visit the world-famous Dalí Museum, which is as fascinating as the artist himself – colorful, surreal, and completely unique. After lunch on your own, we continue to the Costa Brava and check in at the 4* Hotel Aromar in Platja d'Aro, just a stone's throw from the beach. Group dinner at the hotel. [ B, L ]

DAY 8 – September 15, Your day at the Mediterranean

Lovely baths, walks along the sea, cafés, shops – or just a quiet moment on the hotel terrace. [ F ]

DAY 9 – 9/16, Girona – medieval charm and living history

We travel to Girona, considered by many to be Catalonia's most beautiful city. The colorful houses along the river, the impressive cathedral, the well-preserved city walls, and the narrow cobbled alleys give it an almost fairy-tale feel. There is plenty of time to explore, have coffee, stroll around, and have lunch on your own. In the evening, there is the option of a group farewell dinner where we can sum up the highlights of the trip. [ F ]

DAY 10 – 17/10, Return journey – with luggage full of experiences

After breakfast, the bus will take us to Barcelona Airport. The flight departs at 11:55 a.m. and arrives at Arlanda at 4:15 p.m. We leave Spain with sunshine in our hearts, mountains in our memories, and a trip rich in culture, nature, culinary experiences, and camaraderie. [ F ]
