MEDITERRANEAN CRUISE
Italy, France & Spain
April 27 – May 5
FULLY BOOKED
DAY 1 – April 27, Departure from Skellefteå
We leave Skellefteå early in the morning and fly via Arlanda to Fiumicino, Rome's international airport. Upon arrival, we are met by our bus, which takes us along the Italian coast to Civitavecchia, where we check in at the Baia del Sole hotel, located near the beach promenade. Here you can enjoy the scent of the Mediterranean and perhaps take a short walk along the waterfront before dinner. In the evening, we gather for a communal Italian dinner and toast to what lies ahead – a week filled with experiences, flavors, and fellowship. [ M ]
DAY 2 – April 28, Boarding the MSC Orchestra
After a delicious hotel breakfast, we check out and are transferred to the cruise terminal. Here we board our ship, MSC ORCHESTRA, which will take us on a journey through the coastal gems of three countries. Boarding takes place during the day, giving you plenty of time to explore the ship's facilities – perhaps take a dip in the pool, enjoy something tasty from the café, or simply soak up the view from the deck. At 7 p.m., we leave the quay and the cruise begins. [ B, L, D ]
DAY 3 – April 29, Genoa (Portofino)
We wake up on the coast of Liguria and dock in Genoa, a port city full of history and life. Here you can stroll through the narrow alleys of the old town, visit Europe's largest aquarium, or take a trip to the exclusive little fishing village of Portofino, known for its pastel-colored houses and beautiful bays. A day that offers both culture and coastal life. [ B, L, D ]
DAY 4 – April 30, Marseille (Provence)
We arrive at the south coast of France and Marseille – a city where tradition meets trend. Here you can stroll through the lively neighborhoods around the old harbor, taste fresh seafood, or visit the Basilique Notre-Dame de la Garde with its view over the city. For those who want to experience the Provençal countryside, there is the opportunity to join an excursion to Aix-en-Provence with its markets, fountains, and pastel-colored houses. [ B, L, D ]
DAY 5 – May 1, Tarragona, Spain
Today we disembark in Tarragona, Spain, where Roman ruins coexist with palm-lined boulevards and tapas bars. The city is easy to explore on foot and offers a pleasant pace. Visit the well-preserved amphitheater overlooking the sea, sit down in a square with a coffee, or take a walk along the beach promenade. Here, vacation vibes and history meet in perfect balance. [ B, L, D ]
DAY 6 – May 2, Valencia
Valencia is one of Spain's most diverse cities, where futuristic architecture coexists with historic neighborhoods and lush parks. You can visit the impressive Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias, cycle through the old riverbed, or stroll through the older parts of the city. Don't miss the chance to try an authentic paella Valenciana – the dish that originated right here. [ F, L, M ]
DAY 7 – May 3, Full day at sea
A perfect day for relaxation. Settle into a deck chair, treat yourself to a spa treatment, or take part in one of the activities on board. A day at sea provides time for rest, conversation, and perhaps a glass of wine before the evening offers dinner and entertainment in the ship's theater or bars. [ B, L, D ]
DAY 8 – May 4, Livorno (Florence/Pisa)
Today we reach Tuscany and dock in Livorno. From here, you can join a full-day excursion to Florence, the stronghold of art and architecture, where you can experience Renaissance masterpieces and lively piazzas. Alternatively, you can choose a shorter trip to Pisa with its iconic leaning tower. Whichever you choose, beautiful landscapes, cultural heritage, and Italian atmosphere await. [ B, L, D ]
